Presentation amazingMy parcel with this Christmas set was delivered today.
I could smell the fragrance the moment I opened the package; I can only imagine what a wonderful aroma the burning candle will fill the room with in December.
The packaging is magnificent; I need to buy another box like this as a gift—I’m sure my friend will be thrilled, since she loves Yankee Candles too.

Fun for self or giftA fun product for candle lovers, with the possibility of sharing too. It is Christmas scents, so very seasonal and some of the sweeter, spicy scents are not to my taste but still can create a festive stmospehere.

Beautifully PresenteThe Fragrance Lovers advent calendar is presented as a beautiful and sturdy keepsake "Book". It will be ideal to store tealights and wax melts when its life as a calendar has ended.
The contents comprises 24 filled glass tealights. The really mini candles! Personally I am not seeing this as such a great idea. That is an awful lot of tiny glass vessels. What will happen to them once the candles have been burnt? Im pretty sure next-to-no-one will want or need to keep 24 tiny glass candle holders! I find it an excessive waste to be honest. I am sorry, I know that is not what you want me to say but I have to keep my review honest! Putting the 24 tiny glass jars aside - let's talk fragrances.
An advent calendar. 24 days in the run up to Christmas. Once again personally, I do not understand or agree with the decision to include scents from the generic year-round core range of fragrances. I am stunned by the inclusion of Lemon Lavender and Midsummers Night! They have absolutely no place in an Advent calendar!! Sage & citrus and spiced pumpkin are borderline appropriate. Bayside Cedar, Amber & Sandalwood? Not really festive are they.
I really am sorry I can't give a better review because I am truly grateful that I was chosen to win an advent calendar but in my review, I have to remain truthful!
The presentation is stunning but the contents are quite a let down as an advent calendar, for me. I have looked at the contents of the other 2 advent calendars and see the generic core range scents feature in them too! I have said all this before and despite the gorgeous presentation, I would not be purchasing any of this years advent calendars as the contents are too big a let down for me.
Just to add, when advent is over, the interior - the dated daily calender structure completely comes out leaving a pristine and robust storage unit. The calendar structure is a snug fit and it is not glued in - (it doesn't need to be). This means the resulting storage case will still be in beautiful condition for repurposing.
I do feel bad that I am only giving 3 stars as it was a freebie but I just can't get passed the choice of fragrances and the inexcusable waste of 24 mini glass jars.
I hope next year the contents are more appropriate as I do love my advent calendars!
