Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very good all-rounder Christmas Eve has become a favourite of a family member so it has been getting lit quite often regardless of season. While some seasonal scents can be heavily slanted to being more specificly seasonal use candles, I find with Christmas Eve, we’re able to enjoy it far more throughout the year due to the fact that there doesn’t appear to be any overly woody notes. I find the blend to be sweet with plums and berries along with a gentle smokiness, muskiness and a light hint of green coming through. It has a medium/strong throw and of course, the label and colour are just lovely. It would be a shame to only burn this on Christmas Eve!

I have loved this fragrance since I was a kid still living at home with my parents (at least 25 years) and my mom got a jar candle in this fragrance as a gift. Since then, it has been part of my family's Christmas celebrations every year, whether we have it at my parents' home in New England or down at mine in North Carolina. It just makes everything smell like Christmas - I like to have a few of these around the house and a Mistletoe one mixed in for the absolute perfect Christmas scent. I hope this is never discontinued because it has become an essential part of my family's Christmas rituals!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from some sort of joke Asking for a review must be some sort of joke! I’ve had nothing but problems and even still after emailing several times I have not received my order. This was a Christmas present (ordered on the 25th November) in order for it to get here before Christmas (even paid 3-5 day delivery) as this is a gift for someone who isn’t in the country. I now am not going to be able to get it to them for Christmas and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. When I saw the offer to write a review- at first I thought it was a joke. I’ve not had any of my emails responded too & still don’t know if I’m even going to receive my order! Very disappointed and upset

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very fragrant [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought Christmas Eve as part of my holiday candle haul so that our home would smell cozy during the holidays. We’ve loved this scent in the past, but it has been a few years since I last bought it and the scent is very disappointing this time. It’s not very strong and what we can smell is not a smell we are enjoying. It’s unfortunate because we were looking forward to this candle this year at Christmas! We haven’t burned even half of it because no one enjoys this scent. (At least we still had Mistletoe, North Pole, and Candy Cane Lane, among a few others for the holidays! Those have all been awesome.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Unfortunately this candle didn’t work for me, I purchased it at the Leeds yankee candle store and was very happy with the discount. Firstly I absolutely love the wax melt version of this candle, this jar however has barely any scent! I am genuinely shocked by how little scent there is and very disappointed. I also found it isn’t burning correctly and tunnelling even though I know to trim the wick and make sure it burns for at least 3 hours especially on the first burn, also lots of black wick in the wax even though I don’t experience this with my other jar candles. In the future I will stick to the wax melt version as I feel I have wasted my money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1960's Christmas Memories This particular scent reminds me of when I was in my youth and my Mom took my siblings and I to see Santa in his house downtown. We would go the week before Christmas and stand in line in the cold and snow waiting our turn. But once inside all the wonderful scents and memories are wrapped into the Christmas Eve' candle. It's amazing how you associate a scent with a time and place. Thank you for taking me back to a simple and memorable time of celebrations. Another brilliant scent wrapped in a jar by YC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It smells like Christmas! Though "Christmas Eve" has no particular holiday smell, it is the smell of Christmas in my home. I can't even remember how many years I've been buying it but will continue as long as it's available. My daughter, who has passed, use to come in and say, "It smells like Christmas", with a big smile on her face and a sigh of contentment in her voice. This candle scent is all I need to bring back wonderful and loving memories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Christmas Eve Large Jar These are the best candles EVER!! I have been buying and burning these for 20 years. Every year, this is the first thing on my Christmas wish list. Luckily, my birthday is Jan. 2 so I get them for my birthday too. I loved getting a buy 2 get 2 free coupon, and used it to buy 4 of the large Christmas Eve jars, and I'm so happy that they came 3 days later!! I'm burning 3 of them right now, and just popped one in my candle crockpot, so my whole house smells like Christmas Eve. I have received SO many compliments form all of our visitors. Our mail man has said he loves delivering to our house, because the smell wafts through the mail slot lol!! I know what he's getting from me for Christmas!
